DETAILED ANALYSIS
Pledge of Allegiance policy publication
The bill requires each city, local, exempted village, and joint vocational school district to
make its Pledge of Allegiance policy publicly available and post it on its publicly accessible
website, if it has one.
Under continuing law, each district must adopt a policy specifying whether oral recitation
of the Pledge of Allegiance is part of the district’s program and, if so, the time and manner for
recitation.1
