                       A RESOLUTION
                     Honoring Izzy Zahn on winning
     three 2024 Division III State Track and Field championships.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Izzy Zahn as the 2024     2
Division III State Track and Field Champion in the 200-meter dash, the    3
long jump, and the 4x400-meter relay; and                                 4
     WHEREAS, A diligent and capable individual, Izzy Zahn is deserving   5
of recognition for her exemplary accomplishments as a junior member of    6
the Coldwater High School girls track and field team. At this year’s      7
Division III State Meet, she won first place in the 200-meter dash        8
with a time of 24.48 and the long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 7.75       9
inches and sixth place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.39 as      10
well as helped the 4x400-meter relay team win first place with a time     11
of 3:5.13, and her noteworthy record of personal achievement stands as    12
a hallmark for others; and                                                13
     WHEREAS, Through her participation in sports, Izzy Zahn has          14
learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and     15
good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her       16
throughout her life. Through her outstanding efforts, she has inspired    17
countless people to excel in various areas of endeavor, and she has       18
set an example worthy of emulation; and                                   19
     WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of      20
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards    21
of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a         22
valuable educational tool. With sports contributing to the development    23
of countless youth, we are delighted to congratulate such a fine          24
athlete as Izzy Zahn; therefore be it                                     25

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of   the House of Representatives of     26
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in   adopting this Resolution,           27
applaud Izzy Zahn on her 2024 Division   III State titles and extend         28
best wishes for continued success; and   be it further                       29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit       30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Izzy Zahn.                   31
