                       A RESOLUTION
                       Honoring Camp Christopher
                   on its One Hundredth Anniversary.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Camp Christopher     2
as it celebrates its Centennial; and                                      3
     WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is, indeed, a     4
fitting tribute to Camp Christopher, for it has attained a remarkable     5
record of accomplishment. Established by Catholic Charities, Diocese      6
of Cleveland in 1924, the camp covers one hundred sixty acres in Bath     7
Township, and it has provided a space for innumerable young people to     8
experience the wonder and splendor of our natural world. Truly, it has    9
earned the respect and appreciation of many over the past ten decades;    10

     WHEREAS, Willingly giving of their time, energy, and abilities,      12
the staff and volunteers at Camp Christopher have worked tirelessly to    13
create a memorable experience for young people. We are proud to note      14
that it is through the diligent efforts of conscientious individuals      15
such as these that Ohio continues to grow and prosper; and                16
     WHEREAS, As the stewards of Camp Christopher celebrate this event,   17
they have the unique opportunity to reaffirm their goals and to           18
formulate new policies to meet the challenges of the future. It is        19
through the work of people such as those associated with the camp, who    20
are invested in the enrichment and improvement of others, that our        21
state remains responsive to the needs of its residents; therefore be      22

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of    24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,          25

applaud Camp Christopher on its One Hundredth Anniversary and salute       26
its participants, staff, and volunteers as outstanding Ohioans; and be     27
it further                                                                 28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     29
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Camp Christopher.          30
