A BILL
To amend section 1901.08 of the Revised Code to 1
change the status of the judge of the Lebanon 2
Municipal Court from part-time to full-time. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 1901.08 of the Revised Code be 4
amended to read as follows: 5
Sec. 1901.08. The number of, and the time for election of, 6
judges of the following municipal courts and the beginning of 7
their terms shall be as follows: 8
In the Akron municipal court, two full-time judges shall 9
be elected in 1951, two full-time judges shall be elected in 10
1953, one full-time judge shall be elected in 1967, and one 11
full-time judge shall be elected in 1975. 12
In the Alliance municipal court, one full-time judge shall 13
be elected in 1953. 14
In the Ashland municipal court, one full-time judge shall 15
be elected in 1951. 16
In the Ashtabula municipal court, one full-time judge 17
shall be elected in 1953. 18

In the Athens county municipal court, one full-time judge 19
shall be elected in 1967. 20
In the Auglaize county municipal court, one full-time 21
judge shall be elected in 1975. 22
In the Avon Lake municipal court, one full-time judge 23
shall be elected in 2017. On and after September 15, 2014, the 24
part-time judge of the Avon Lake municipal court who was elected 25
in 2011 shall serve as a full-time judge of the court until the 26
end of that judge's term on December 31, 2017. 27
In the Barberton municipal court, one full-time judge 28
shall be elected in 1969, and one full-time judge shall be 29
elected in 1971. 30
In the Bedford municipal court, one full-time judge shall 31
be elected in 1975, and one full-time judge shall be elected in 32
1979. 33
In the Bellefontaine municipal court, one full-time judge 34
shall be elected in 1993. 35
In the Bellevue municipal court, one part-time judge shall 36
be elected in 1951. 37
In the Berea municipal court, one full-time judge shall be 38
elected in 2005. 39
In the Bowling Green municipal court, one full-time judge 40
shall be elected in 1983. 41
In the Brown county municipal court, one full-time judge 42
shall be elected in 2005. Beginning February 9, 2003, the part- 43
time judge of the Brown county county court that existed prior 44
to that date whose term commenced on January 2, 2001, shall 45
serve as the full-time judge of the Brown county municipal court 46

until December 31, 2005. 47
In the Bryan municipal court, one full-time judge shall be 48
elected in 1965. 49
In the Cambridge municipal court, one full-time judge 50
shall be elected in 1951. 51
In the Campbell municipal court, one part-time judge shall 52
be elected in 1963. 53
In the Canton municipal court, one full-time judge shall 54
be elected in 1951, one full-time judge shall be elected in 55
1969, and two full-time judges shall be elected in 1977. 56
In the Carroll county municipal court, one full-time judge 57
shall be elected in 2009. Beginning January 1, 2007, the judge 58
elected in 2006 to the part-time judgeship of the Carroll county 59
county court that existed prior to that date shall serve as the 60
full-time judge of the Carroll county municipal court until 61
December 31, 2009. 62
In the Celina municipal court, one full-time judge shall 63
be elected in 1957. 64
In the Champaign county municipal court, one full-time 65
judge shall be elected in 2001. 66
In the Chardon municipal court, one full-time judge shall 67
be elected in 1963. 68
In the Chillicothe municipal court, one full-time judge 69
shall be elected in 1951, and one full-time judge shall be 70
elected in 1977. 71
In the Circleville municipal court, one full-time judge 72
shall be elected in 1953. 73

In the Clark county municipal court, one full-time judge 74
shall be elected in 1989, and two full-time judges shall be 75
elected in 1991. The full-time judges of the Springfield 76
municipal court who were elected in 1983 and 1985 shall serve as 77
the judges of the Clark county municipal court from January 1, 78
1988, until the end of their respective terms. 79
In the Clermont county municipal court, two full-time 80
judges shall be elected in 1991, and one full-time judge shall 81
be elected in 1999. 82
In the Cleveland municipal court, six full-time judges 83
shall be elected in 1975, three full-time judges shall be 84
elected in 1953, and four full-time judges shall be elected in 85
1955. 86
In the Cleveland Heights municipal court, one full-time 87
judge shall be elected in 1957. 88
In the Clinton county municipal court, one full-time judge 89
shall be elected in 1997. The full-time judge of the Wilmington 90
municipal court who was elected in 1991 shall serve as the judge 91
of the Clinton county municipal court from July 1, 1992, until 92
the end of that judge's term on December 31, 1997. 93
In the Columbiana county municipal court, two full-time 94
judges shall be elected in 2001. 95
In the Conneaut municipal court, one full-time judge shall 96
be elected in 1953. 97
In the Coshocton municipal court, one full-time judge 98
shall be elected in 1951. 99
In the Crawford county municipal court, one full-time 100
judge shall be elected in 1977. 101

In the Cuyahoga Falls municipal court, one full-time judge 102
shall be elected in 1953, and one full-time judge shall be 103
elected in 1967. Effective December 31, 2008, the Cuyahoga Falls 104
municipal court shall cease to exist; however, the judges of the 105
Cuyahoga Falls municipal court who were elected pursuant to this 106
section in 2003 and 2007 for terms beginning on January 1, 2004, 107
and January 1, 2008, respectively, shall serve as full-time 108
judges of the Stow municipal court until December 31, 2009, and 109
December 31, 2013, respectively. 110
In the Darke county municipal court, one full-time judge 111
shall be elected in 2005. Beginning January 1, 2005, the part- 112
time judge of the Darke county county court that existed prior 113
to that date whose term began on January 1, 2001, shall serve as 114
the full-time judge of the Darke county municipal court until 115
December 31, 2005. 116
In the Dayton municipal court, three full-time judges 117
shall be elected in 1987, their terms to commence on successive 118
days beginning on the first day of January next after their 119
election, and two full-time judges shall be elected in 1955, 120
their terms to commence on successive days beginning on the 121
second day of January next after their election. 122
In the Defiance municipal court, one full-time judge shall 123
be elected in 1957. 124
In the Delaware municipal court, one full-time judge shall 125
be elected in 1953, and one full-time judge shall be elected in 126
2007. 127
In the East Cleveland municipal court, one full-time judge 128
shall be elected in 1957. 129
In the Eaton municipal court, one full-time judge shall be 130

In the Elyria municipal court, one full-time judge shall 132
be elected in 1955, and one full-time judge shall be elected in 133
1973. 134
In the Erie county municipal court, one full-time judge 135
shall be elected in 2007. 136
In the Euclid municipal court, one full-time judge shall 137
be elected in 1951. 138
In the Fairborn municipal court, one full-time judge shall 139
be elected in 1977, and one full-time judge shall be elected in 140
2023. 141
In the Fairfield county municipal court, one full-time 142
judge shall be elected in 2003, and one full-time judge shall be 143
elected in 2005. 144
In the Fairfield municipal court, one full-time judge 145
shall be elected in 1989. 146
In the Findlay municipal court, one full-time judge shall 147
be elected in 1955, and one full-time judge shall be elected in 148
1993. 149
In the Franklin municipal court, one part-time judge shall 150
be elected in 1951. 151
In the Franklin county municipal court, two full-time 152
judges shall be elected in 1969, three full-time judges shall be 153
elected in 1971, seven full-time judges shall be elected in 154
1967, one full-time judge shall be elected in 1975, one full- 155
time judge shall be elected in 1991, and one full-time judge 156
shall be elected in 1997. 157

In the Fremont municipal court, one full-time judge shall 158
be elected in 1975. 159
In the Fulton county municipal court to be established on 160
January 1, 2024, one full-time judge shall be elected in 2023. 161
In the Gallipolis municipal court, one full-time judge 162
shall be elected in 1981. 163
In the Garfield Heights municipal court, one full-time 164
judge shall be elected in 1951, and one full-time judge shall be 165
elected in 1981. 166
In the Girard municipal court, one full-time judge shall 167
be elected in 1963. 168
In the Hamilton municipal court, one full-time judge shall 169
be elected in 1953. 170
In the Hamilton county municipal court, five full-time 171
judges shall be elected in 1967, five full-time judges shall be 172
elected in 1971, two full-time judges shall be elected in 1981, 173
and two full-time judges shall be elected in 1983. All terms of 174
judges of the Hamilton county municipal court shall commence on 175
the first day of January next after their election, except that 176
the terms of the additional judges to be elected in 1981 shall 177
commence on January 2, 1982, and January 3, 1982, and that the 178
terms of the additional judges to be elected in 1983 shall 179
commence on January 4, 1984, and January 5, 1984. 180
In the Hardin county municipal court, one part-time judge 181
shall be elected in 1989. 182
In the Hillsboro municipal court, one full-time judge 183
shall be elected in 2011. On and after December 30, 2008, the 184
part-time judge of the Hillsboro municipal court who was elected 185

in 2005 shall serve as a full-time judge of the court until the 186
end of that judge's term on December 31, 2011. 187
In the Hocking county municipal court, one full-time judge 188
shall be elected in 1977. 189
In the Holmes county municipal court, one full-time judge 190
shall be elected in 2007. Beginning January 1, 2007, the part- 191
time judge of the Holmes county county court that existed prior 192
to that date whose term commenced on January 1, 2007, shall 193
serve as the full-time judge of the Holmes county municipal 194
court until December 31, 2007. 195
In the Huron municipal court, one part-time judge shall be 196
elected in 1967. 197
In the Ironton municipal court, one full-time judge shall 198
be elected in 1951. 199
In the Jackson county municipal court, one full-time judge 200
shall be elected in 2001. On and after March 31, 1997, the part- 201
time judge of the Jackson county municipal court who was elected 202
in 1995 shall serve as a full-time judge of the court until the 203
end of that judge's term on December 31, 2001. 204
In the Kettering municipal court, one full-time judge 205
shall be elected in 1971, and one full-time judge shall be 206
elected in 1975. 207
In the Lakewood municipal court, one full-time judge shall 208
be elected in 1955. 209
In the Lancaster municipal court, one full-time judge 210
shall be elected in 1951, and one full-time judge shall be 211
elected in 1979. Beginning January 2, 2000, the full-time judges 212
of the Lancaster municipal court who were elected in 1997 and 213

1999 shall serve as judges of the Fairfield county municipal 214
court until the end of those judges' terms. 215
In the Lawrence county municipal court, one part-time 216
judge shall be elected in 1981. 217
In the Lebanon municipal court, one part-time ful
