A RESOLUTION
Honoring Gabby Woods as the 2024 NCAA Division II National
Champion in women’s golf.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Gabby Woods on winning the 2024 2
National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II National 3
Championship in women’s golf; and 4
WHEREAS, A member of The University of Findlay women’s golf team, 5
Gabby Woods has combined talent and competitive spirit with the 6
highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly 7
exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked 8
diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in golf, and as a 9
result, she shot a 207 to win the Division II National Championship 10
title; and 11
WHEREAS, Gabby Woods’ accomplishments and leadership, both on and 12
off the course, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine 13
reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her 14
coach, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to 15
excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is 16
certainly worthy of high praise; and 17
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 18
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay 19
tribute to Gabby Woods on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same 20
maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in 21
golf will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; 22
therefore be it 23
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Gabby Woods on 25

her personal success and salute her as one of Ohio’s finest young 26
athletes; and be it further 27
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 28
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Gabby Woods. 29
