                       A RESOLUTION
                  Honoring Sophia Szolozi on winning
     a 2024 Division II State Track and Field Championship title.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to    2
Sophia Szolozi on winning the 2024 Division II State Championship in     3
the 3,200-meter run; and                                                 4
     WHEREAS, A member of the Athens High School track and field team,   5
Sophia Szolozi has combined talent and competitive spirit with the       6
highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly     7
exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked           8
diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in track and field,     9
and as a result, she won first place in the 3,200-meter run with a       10
time of 10:59.61 at this year’s Division II State Meet; and              11
     WHEREAS, Sophia Szolozi’s accomplishments and leadership, both in   12
and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an         13
outstanding reflection not only on her but also on her family, her       14
teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering    15
commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of        16
many, and she is certainly worthy of applause; and                       17
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   18
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased     19
to pay tribute to Sophia Szolozi on an exemplary season. Indeed, the     20
same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation    21
in track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of     22
the future; therefore be it                                              23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of   24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,         25

congratulate Sophia Szolozi on her Division II State Championship and      26
offer best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further                   27
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     28
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Sophia Szolozi.            29
