                       A RESOLUTION
                   Honoring the Youngstown Playhouse
                          on its Centennial.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Youngstown     2
Playhouse on its One Hundredth Anniversary; and                           3
     WHEREAS, The Youngstown Playhouse is deserving of high praise, for   4
over the past one hundred years, this fine theatre has achieved a         5
praiseworthy record of service to the community. This community           6
theatre has truly distinguished itself as an exemplary institution,       7
and its success is a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding       8
reflection not only on the playhouse itself but also on its board of      9
trustees, on its guild members, on its sponsors and patrons, on its       10
audiences, and on the Youngstown community; and                           11
     WHEREAS, The Youngstown Playhouse’s talented ensemble, both past     12
and present, have worked tirelessly to develop their special gifts of     13
expression, and through their performances, they have touched,            14
entertained, and inspired countless individuals while illuminating the    15
human spirit. We are certain that as they continue to pursue their        16
artistic interests, these fine thespians will make invaluable             17
contributions to their community and to the world around them; and        18
     WHEREAS, One of the oldest ongoing community theatres in the         19
country, the Youngstown Playhouse has entertained the public and          20
enhanced the quality of life within Northeast Ohio, and its generous      21
contributions to Ohio’s cultural heritage have gained it the respect      22
and esteem of many. We are certain that as this remarkable                23
establishment maintains its dedication to the performing arts, it will    24
continue in the tradition of excellence that has been its hallmark        25
since its establishment; therefore be it                                  26

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           28
congratulate the Youngstown Playhouse on its One Hundredth Anniversary     29
and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further                   30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Youngstown             32
Playhouse.                                                                 33
