A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City School District
on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City 2
School District on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth 3
Anniversary; and 4
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is, indeed, a 5
fitting tribute to the Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City School District, 6
for throughout the past century, it has played a valuable role in 7
preparing countless young people to meet the challenges of the future. 8
With an unwavering commitment to educational excellence, the district 9
has worked diligently to offer students a well-balanced curriculum 10
that seeks to develop their academic and practical skills, and it has 11
gained the gratitude and esteem of pupils, parents, and the community 12
alike; and 13
WHEREAS, Schools provide scholars with much more than the basic 14
educational skills, and we are certain that in the years to come, the 15
Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City School District will maintain its 16
unfaltering dedication to helping students become capable, well- 17
rounded individuals. As the district celebrates this special 18
anniversary, its students, staff, and alumni can be justly proud of 19
this fine institution; and 20
WHEREAS, Education is vital to our nation’s continued economic and 21
social well-being, and as the need for global learning and 22
understanding increases, so do the demands placed upon our system of 23
education. Over the years, the Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City School 24
District has consistently and effectively met these challenges, and 25
all those associated with it are worthy of applause; therefore be it 26

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Sheffield- 28
Sheffield Lake City School District on its One Hundredth Anniversary 29
and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further 30
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Sheffield-Sheffield Lake 32
City School District. 33
