                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the St. Francis DeSales High School girls
              lacrosse team on winning the 2024 Division II State
              Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to recognize the St. Francis DeSales High School     2
girls lacrosse team as the 2024 Division II State Champion; and          3
     WHEREAS, The members of the St. Francis DeSales High School girls   4
lacrosse team are exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves     5
to be truly exceptional competitors. Culminating an impressive 2024      6
season, the Stallions overcame their opponents from Bay High School by   7
the score of 14-7 to win the Division II State Championship. The         8
unwavering commitment of the players and coaches has earned them the     9
esteem of many, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and     10
     WHEREAS, Coach Joe Finotti has demonstrated remarkable energy,      11
enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the St. Francis DeSales High       12
School girls lacrosse team to victory, and his skill is reflected in     13
the squad’s outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to his tireless     14
efforts, the members have distinguished themselves on the field, and     15
he has received respect and admiration from all who know him; and        16
     WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future    17
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and    18
the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has     19
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the     20
St. Francis DeSales High School girls lacrosse team have gained          21
discipline and perseverance that will help them in all aspects of        22
their lives; therefore be it                                             23
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General    24

As Introduced
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute the St. Francis      25
DeSales High School girls lacrosse team as the 2024 Division II State      26
Champion and honor all those who contributed to the success of this        27
fine squad; and be it further                                              28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the St. Francis DeSales High      30
School girls lacrosse team.                                                31
