                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Knox County Fair on its One Hundred Seventy-
              fifth Anniversary.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Knox County Fair on the              2
auspicious occasion of its One Hundred Seventy-fifth Anniversary; and     3
     WHEREAS, The Knox County Fair is deserving of acknowledgement, for   4
its success has enabled Ohio to maintain its reputation as one of the     5
best summer events for family fun and entertainment. The first Knox       6
County Fair was held at a resident’s home in 1849, and from these         7
humble beginnings, it has grown to become an expansive event that has     8
served as a true source of pride over the years; and                      9
     WHEREAS, The Knox County Fair has been championed by all those       10
involved with the Knox County Agricultural Society and its many           11
volunteers who have invested their time and efforts to enhance the        12
quality of life within the surrounding area, and this milestone           13
affords an opportunity for local citizens to showcase their community     14
by featuring a wide variety of food, rides, performances, agricultural    15
and horticultural exhibits, and livestock shows. In providing a fun       16
and exciting atmosphere, the fine people of Knox County have been         17
instrumental to the success of this exemplary annual gathering; and       18
     WHEREAS, The Knox County Fair has become distinguished as one of     19
Ohio’s finest events, and we are certain that as it continues to grow     20
and prosper, it will maintain its unfaltering dedication to advancing     21
the field of agriculture. Indeed, the tradition of excellence that has    22
come to represent the fair has, most assuredly, been the hallmark of      23
this community tradition through the passage of time; therefore be it     24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     25

As Introduced
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Knox       26
County Fair on its 2024 season and salute all those who have made this     27
annual celebration such a boon to the area for the past one hundred        28
seventy-five years; and be it further                                      29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Knox County Fair.             31
