A RESOLUTION
In memory of Michael Taylor.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio send our deepest sympathy to the family and 2
friends of Michael Taylor on the sorrowful occasion of his death; and 3
WHEREAS, Although there are no words to ease the sorrow now felt, 4
surely there is solace in the remembrance of having known such an 5
outstanding individual. An assistant chief retired from the 6
Steubenville Fire Department after thirty-one years of service, 7
Michael Taylor fulfilled his diverse responsibilities with integrity, 8
sensitivity, and the utmost competence. Moreover, he was a president 9
of Steubenville Firefighters Local 228, a vice president and president 10
of the Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters, and a member of 11
the Bureau of Ohio’s Workers Compensation Board, and he was highly 12
esteemed by his peers. Indeed, his valiant efforts were truly 13
admirable; and 14
WHEREAS, Michael Taylor was an unforgettable man whose words and 15
actions endeared him to everyone who loved him, including his wife, 16
Lisa, his children, Adam, Paige, and Brianna, his grandchildren, 17
Taylor, Rylee, and John, his parents, Thomas and the late Christina, 18
and his brother, the late Thomas. Through his dedicated endeavors and 19
dependable job performance, he earned the enduring praise and respect 20
of his supervisors, coworkers, and peers in the community. He was a 21
fine ambassador for his chosen vocation, and his numerous 22
contributions will be remembered with pride and appreciation; and 23
WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Steubenville, Michael Taylor’s 24
devotion to the community, as well as his selfless commitment to the 25
welfare of others, distinguished him as an exemplary human being and a 26
leading citizen, and he will be remembered as a spirited individual 27

who contributed immeasurably to the world around him. It is our 28
sincere hope that his memory will be a source of comfort to those who 29
cherished him; therefore be it 30
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 31
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay 32
tribute to this honorable man, Michael Taylor; and be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 34
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the family of Michael 35
Taylor. 36
