A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Strasburg-Franklin High School softball team
as the 2024 Division IV State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Strasburg-Franklin High 2
School softball team on winning the 2024 Division IV State 3
Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, The talented Strasburg-Franklin High School softball team 5
is, indeed, to be heartily commended for decisively earning this 6
year’s Division IV State Championship. The squad’s performance, which 7
includes defeating its opponent by the score of 10-0 and earning its 8
tenth overall state crown and third consecutive Division IV state 9
title, reflects the outstanding collective effort by a gifted group of 10
athletes, and without exception, the team has devoted countless hours 11
to training and practice in order to ensure peak conditioning. 12
Clearly, this demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends; and 13
WHEREAS, The members of the Strasburg-Franklin High School 14
softball team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision that 15
befit true champions. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have 16
consistently maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting 17
strength, speed, stamina, and agility in every challenging encounter. 18
Time and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating 19
their unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and 20
finesse have earned them widespread respect, even among their most 21
formidable rivals; and 22
WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a 23
host of adversaries, the members of the Strasburg-Franklin High School 24
softball team have learned much about dedication, self-discipline, 25
leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place finish is a measure of 26

their stalwart commitment to the sport, and their indomitable spirit 27
has made their families, friends, and coach, Tom Spidell, incredibly 28
proud; therefore be it 29
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 30
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Strasburg- 31
Franklin High School softball team on its brilliant 2024 season and 32
wish its members continued success in all of their future endeavors; 33
and be it further 34
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 35
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Strasburg-Franklin High 36
School softball team. 37
