                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the University of Cincinnati-Clermont baseball
              team as the 2024 USCAA Small College National Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to salute the University of Cincinnati-Clermont       2
baseball team on winning the 2024 United States Collegiate Athletic       3
Association Small College National Championship; and                      4
     WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, the   5
University of Cincinnati-Clermont baseball team is an impressive group    6
of athletes whose talent and teamwork are unmatched. At this year’s       7
USCAA Small College World Series, the squad seized the title from Penn    8
State-DuBois with a score of 4-0, and this second national crown in       9
program history will be celebrated for many years to come; and            10
     WHEREAS, The members of the University of Cincinnati-Clermont        11
baseball team rose to the occasion and proved themselves to be a          12
dynamic force in collegiate sports. Truly, these outstanding athletes     13
can be proud of the accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved       14
throughout the 2024 season, including securing a 37-13 overall record     15
and breaking team records for most hits, home runs, runs batted in,       16
and runs scored; and                                                      17
     WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards of           18
sportsmanship and teamwork, the players of the University of              19
Cincinnati-Clermont baseball team primed themselves under the guidance    20
of the Cougars’ coaching staff. Indeed, they have demonstrated            21
remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of their             22
endeavors to reach their full potential; therefore be it                  23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General    24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize the              25

University of Cincinnati-Clermont baseball team on its success and            26
honor the athletes and coaches for their tremendous prowess as the            27
2024 USCAA Small College National Champion; and be it further                 28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                   29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the University of Cincinnati-        30
Clermont baseball team.                                                       31
