                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring St. Aloysius Catholic Church on the Centennial of
              its building.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate St. Aloysius Catholic Church on      2
the One Hundredth Anniversary of its building; and                       3
     WHEREAS, Since its inception, St. Aloysius Catholic Church has      4
offered its members the pathway to a more meaningful life by             5
illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on which the church was      6
founded. After years without their own building, Catholic worshippers    7
in Bowling Green constructed and named their first church in 1881, and   8
the cornerstone for the current structure was laid in 1924 and           9
dedicated two years later. The spirit of love and Christian fellowship   10
that exists among the parishioners not only prevails within the church   11
edifice itself but also extends beyond those sacred walls to touch the   12
lives of everyone encountered by these devout disciples; and             13
     WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of its pastors, both past     14
and present, St. Aloysius Catholic Church has provided a source of       15
moral guidance and spiritual motivation for each of its members. Over    16
the years, the church has enhanced the quality of life within the        17
Bowling Green area, and through its generous efforts, it has earned      18
the gratitude and respect of the many citizens it has so capably         19
served; and                                                              20
     WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone that    21
represents dedication and commitment. For nearly a century and a half,   22
the members of St. Aloysius Catholic Church have kept their faith        23
alive in the community, and on this special anniversary, the             24
congregation has accepted the challenge of carrying its beliefs into     25
the future; therefore be it                                              26

As Adopted by the Senate
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend St. Aloysius        28
Catholic Church on the One Hundredth Anniversary of its building and       29
pay tribute to all those joining in the celebration of this joyous         30
event; and be it further                                                   31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to St. Aloysius Catholic Church.     33
