                       A RESOLUTION
        Honoring The University of Toledo women’s tennis team
       as the 2024 Mid-American Conference Tournament Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to     2
The University of Toledo women’s tennis team on winning the 2024 Mid-     3
American Conference Tournament Championship; and                          4
     WHEREAS, The University of Toledo women’s tennis team has achieved   5
a tremendous feat in winning its first MAC Tournament Championship in     6
program history. The Rockets’ strong performance, combined with an        7
adept drive to succeed, has led the squad to this outstanding victory     8
and its first-ever berth in the NCAA Division I Tournament, and the       9
group has earned the esteem of many; and                                  10
     WHEREAS, The accomplishments and development of the members of The   11
University of Toledo women’s tennis team are fine examples of what can    12
be attained by a group of hard-working young people supported by a        13
dedicated coaching staff such as the one led by Tracy Mauntler.           14
Throughout extensive conditioning and training, the players have          15
developed into dynamic competitors, and they are deserving of             16
acknowledgement; and                                                      17
     WHEREAS, With great admiration, we congratulate the athletes who     18
comprise The University of Toledo women’s tennis team, for they have      19
overcome many formidable opponents and displayed tremendous prowess.      20
Indeed, we are confident that as they meet their future challenges,       21
they will take with them the lessons of comradery, diligence, and         22
discipline; therefore be it                                               23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of    24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,          25

heartily applaud The University of Toledo women’s tennis team as the       26
2024 MAC Tournament Champion and praise the strength of this program       27
and its participating athletes; and be it further                          28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     29
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to The University of          30
Toledo women’s tennis team.                                                31
