A RESOLUTION
Honoring Fligner’s Supermarket
on its One Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to 2
Fligner’s Supermarket on the auspicious occasion of its Centennial; 3
and 4
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is, indeed, a 5
fitting tribute to Fligner’s Supermarket. Over the past one hundred 6
years, this fine business has achieved a praiseworthy record of 7
service in the Lorain area, establishing itself as a beloved 8
institution that is not simply a supermarket but also a vital part of 9
the community as a whole; and 10
WHEREAS, The success of Fligner’s Supermarket is a justifiable 11
source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the business 12
itself but also on its astute management and hard-working employees. 13
Due to their vision and initiative, this respected endeavor has earned 14
the gratitude and appreciation of many satisfied customers, and they 15
are truly deserving of high praise; and 16
WHEREAS, Over the years, Fligner’s Supermarket has enhanced the 17
quality of life within the surrounding area. We are certain that as 18
this worthy enterprise maintains its dedication to service and 19
achievement, it will continue to prosper, and will uphold the 20
tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; therefore be 21

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 23
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 24
congratulate Fligner’s Supermarket on its One Hundredth Anniversary 25

and salute it as a leader in Ohio’s grocery industry; and be it 26
further 27
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 28
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Fligner’s Supermarket. 29
