A RESOLUTION
Honoring The Ohio State University pistol team
on securing the 2024 Intercollegiate Pistol Championships.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend The Ohio State 2
University pistol team on placing first at the 2024 Intercollegiate 3
Pistol Championships; and 4
WHEREAS, The members of The Ohio State University pistol team have 5
combined talent and spirit with the highest ideals of good 6
sportsmanship to establish themselves as truly exceptional 7
competitors. With admirable dedication, the Buckeyes have worked 8
diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in competitive 9
shooting, and as a result, they won first place with an aggregate 10
score of 6736 at the 2024 Intercollegiate Pistol Championships, 11
earning the team a fourth consecutive title; and 12
WHEREAS, The Buckeyes’ achievements and leadership are a 13
justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the 14
students, their families, their school, their community, and their 15
coach, Emil Milev. In leading his team to victory, Coach Milev has not 16
only helped the team members to develop their talents to the fullest 17
but also instilled in them a valuable sense of determination, 18
perseverance, and camaraderie; and 19
WHEREAS, With competition of skill playing such an important role 20
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased 21
to pay tribute to the exemplary members of The Ohio State University 22
pistol team on a job well done. The maturity and experience the 23
Buckeyes have gained through their participation in shooting will 24
greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be 25

As Adopted by the House
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay 28
tribute to The Ohio State University pistol team on its tremendous 29
season and salute the members and coach on this outstanding first- 30
place accomplishment; and be it further 31
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State 33
University pistol team. 34
