                       A RESOLUTION
          Honoring the GlenOak High School Cheerleading team
                   as a 2024 NCA National Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the GlenOak High     2
School Cheerleading team on winning the 2024 National Cheerleaders        3
Association Championship title in the novice non-building event; and      4
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the    5
GlenOak High School Cheerleading team have combined talent and spirit     6
with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves     7
as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable dedication, the          8
Eagles have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in    9
their sport, and as a result, they placed first in the novice non-        10
building event and earned Superior Showmanship and Best Use of            11
Tumbling awards at this year’s NCA National Championships; and            12
     WHEREAS, The Eagles’ achievements and leadership are a justifiable   13
source of pride and an excellent reflection on the members, their         14
families, their school, their community, and their coaches, Alyssa        15
West, Katie Buda, and Savanna McElwain. In leading their team to          16
victory, they have not only helped the athletes to develop their          17
talents to the fullest but also instilled in them a valuable sense of     18
determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and                         19
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role    20
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased      21
to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding          22
coaches for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team         23
members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly    24
aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it         25

As Adopted by the House
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     26
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           27
commend the GlenOak High School Cheerleading team on its tremendous        28
season and salute the members and coaches as some of Ohio’s finest         29
citizens; and be it further                                                30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the GlenOak High           32
School Cheerleading team.                                                  33
