                       A RESOLUTION
                Honoring Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish
                          on its Centennial.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Our Lady of Mt.     2
Carmel Parish on its One Hundredth Anniversary; and                      3
     WHEREAS, Since its first Mass was celebrated in 1923, Our Lady of   4
Mt. Carmel Parish has offered its members the pathway to a more          5
meaningful life by illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on        6
which the church was founded. Using the original structure until a new   7
building was completed at its present site in 1955, the church has       8
since added a school, a convent, and a community center. The spirit of   9
love and Christian fellowship that exists within the church also         10
extends beyond those sacred walls to touch the lives of everyone         11
encountered by these devout disciples; and                               12
     WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of its pastor, Father         13
Michael Troha, and his predecessors, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish has   14
experienced continual growth and has provided a source of moral          15
guidance and spiritual motivation for its congregation. Over the         16
years, the church has enhanced the quality of life within the            17
surrounding area, and through its generous efforts, it has earned the    18
gratitude and respect of the many citizens it has so capably served;     19
and                                                                      20
     WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone that    21
represents dedication and commitment. For a century, the members of      22
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish have kept their faith alive in the         23
Wickliffe community, and on this special anniversary, they have          24
accepted the challenge of carrying their beliefs into the future;        25

As Adopted by the House
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           28
commend Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish on its One Hundredth Anniversary     29
and pay tribute to all those joining in the celebration of this joyous     30
event; and be it further                                                   31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel     33
Parish.                                                                    34
