A RESOLUTION
Honoring Max Shulaw on placing first at the 2024 Division
II State Wrestling Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to commend Max Shulaw as the 2024 Division II 2
State Wrestling Champion in the 215-pound weight class; and 3
WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and 4
dedication during the 2023-2024 season, Max Shulaw has certainly 5
distinguished himself as one of the most talented wrestlers in the 6
state. A senior member of the Saint Francis DeSales High School 7
wrestling team, he demonstrated his drive and skill by earning first 8
place in the 215-pound weight class at this year’s Division II State 9
Championship meet, his second consecutive state title, and he finished 10
the season with an impressive 49-1 record. Clearly, his numerous 11
personal achievements will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; 12
and 13
WHEREAS, Max Shulaw has never failed to impress during the 14
grueling season, and he has inspired his teammates, thrilled his fans, 15
and gained the respect of his opponents. Indeed, he has worked 16
diligently to become an outstanding wrestler, and he has made his 17
family, his coaches, and his school very proud; and 18
WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Max Shulaw 19
has consistently shown the talent, integrity, and motivation that are 20
the traits of a true champion. The remarkable skill and experience he 21
has exhibited, both on and off the mat, will be of great benefit as he 22
forges a bright, promising future; therefore be it 23
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Max Shulaw on 25

his accomplishment and wish him all the best; and be it further 26
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 27
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Max Shulaw. 28
