                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library on its One
              Hundredth Anniversary.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to applaud the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library on    2
the auspicious occasion of its Centennial, celebrated May 18, 2024;       3
and                                                                       4
     WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting      5
tribute to the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library, for throughout its       6
history, this fine institution has attained a remarkable record of        7
service to the area. Established in 1924, the system has grown to be a    8
pillar of the community, and it is truly deserving of high praise; and    9
     WHEREAS, Since its inception, the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library   10
has fostered education, culture, and individual growth by providing a     11
variety of innovative and beneficial programs and services, including     12
the establishment of its new Local History Room. As a focal point for     13
many civic activities and a valuable instrument for community             14
improvement, the library system has earned the respect and                15
appreciation of countless patrons and has set an example of excellence    16
that is worthy of emulation; and                                          17
     WHEREAS, Public libraries play an important role in today’s          18
society, serving as receptacles of shared knowledge, information, and     19
ideas. They offer a means of enjoyment, self-advancement, and             20
intellectual development for all individuals, and as repositories for     21
the best of our nation’s intellectual endeavors, they are vital to the    22
preservation of our country’s heritage, principles, and ideals. We are    23
proud to note that it is through the efforts of institutions such as      24
the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library that our state has maintained its    25
reputation as a friendly, productive, and pleasant place in which to      26

live and work; therefore be it                                             27
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Stow-Munroe     29
Falls Public Library on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best      30
wishes for continued success; and be it further                            31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Stow-Munroe Falls Public      33
Library.                                                                   34
