A RESOLUTION
In memory of Officer Rodney Joe Osborne.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio send our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Officer 2
Rodney Joe Osborne on the sorrowful occasion of his death; and 3
WHEREAS, Although there are no words to ease the sorrow now felt, 4
surely there is solace in the remembrance of having known such an 5
outstanding individual. A correction officer at the Southern Ohio 6
Correctional Facility for thirteen years, Rodney Osborne fulfilled his 7
diverse responsibilities with integrity, sensitivity, and the utmost 8
competence. Highly esteemed by his peers, he was active with the honor 9
guard and the ODRC special tactics and response team, and his valiant 10
efforts were truly admirable; and 11
WHEREAS, Rodney Osborne was an unforgettable man whose words and 12
actions endeared him to everyone who loved him, including his wife, 13
Bobbie, his three children, Jozef, Chasen, and Lillian, and his 14
grandson, Asher. Through his dedicated endeavors and dependable job 15
performance, he earned the enduring praise and respect of his 16
supervisors, coworkers, and peers in the community. He was a fine 17
ambassador for his chosen vocation, and his numerous contributions 18
will be remembered with pride and appreciation; and 19
WHEREAS, Rodney Osborneās devotion to the community, as well as 20
his selfless commitment to the welfare of others, distinguished him as 21
an exemplary human being and a leading citizen, and he will be 22
remembered as a spirited individual who contributed immeasurably to 23
the world around him. It is our sincere hope that his memory will be a 24
source of comfort to those who cherished him; therefore be it 25
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 26
S. R. No. 364 Page 2
As Introduced
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to this 27
honorable man, Officer Rodney Joe Osborne; and be it further 28
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the family of Officer Rodney 30
Joe Osborne. 31
