                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Graham High School wrestling team on winning
              the 2023-2024 Division II State Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Graham High School wrestling team   2
as the 2023-2024 Division II State Champion; and                         3
     WHEREAS, The members of the Graham High School wrestling team are   4
exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be truly           5
exceptional competitors. During the 2023-2024 season, the Falcons        6
compiled 135.5 points to win the Division II State Championship, their   7
twenty-third consecutive state crown, and the unwavering commitment of   8
the wrestlers and coaches has earned them the esteem of many. They are   9
certainly deserving of high praise; and                                  10
     WHEREAS, Coach Jason Knott has demonstrated remarkable energy,      11
enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Graham High School wrestling   12
team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the squad’s outstanding   13
accomplishments. Due largely to his tireless efforts, the members have   14
distinguished themselves on the mat, and he has received respect and     15
admiration from all who know him; and                                    16
     WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future    17
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and    18
the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has     19
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the     20
Graham High School wrestling team have gained discipline and             21
perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives;          22
therefore be it                                                          23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General   24
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the        25

Graham High School wrestling team as the 2023-2024 Division II State       26
Champion and honor all those who contributed to the success of this        27
fine squad; and be it further                                              28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Graham High School            30
wrestling team.                                                            31
