A RESOLUTION
Honoring Gunner Cramblett on placing first at the 2024
Division II State Wrestling Championship meet.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to honor Gunner Cramblett as the 2024 Division II 2
State Wrestling Champion in the 175-pound weight class; and 3
WHEREAS, Gunner Cramblett is deserving of high praise for his 4
outstanding ability and spirited drive, as well as his quickness and 5
tenacity, which have distinguished him as a superior athlete and a 6
standout member of the Graham High School wrestling team. During the 7
2023-2024 season, he practiced diligently in preparation for the 8
Division II State Wrestling Championship meet, where he won first 9
place in the 175-pound weight class, and he has gained the admiration 10
and respect of all those who have witnessed him in action; and 11
WHEREAS, Few sports embody the spirit of individual accomplishment 12
more than wrestling, and athletes such as Gunner Cramblett exemplify 13
the qualities necessary for excellence in any sport, including 14
discipline, agility, conditioning, and focus. Indeed, throughout long 15
hours of competition, he has consistently demonstrated the talent and 16
motivation that are the hallmarks of a true champion; and 17
WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future 18
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and 19
the rewards of individual effort, high school athletic competition has 20
become a valuable tool. Through his participation in sports, Gunner 21
Cramblett has learned lessons of perseverance, hard work, and fair and 22
honest competition that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to him 23
throughout his lifetime; therefore be it 24
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 25
S. R. No. 356 Page 2
As Introduced
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Gunner 26
Cramblett on his outstanding performance in state competition and 27
extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further 28
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Gunner Cramblett. 30
