                       A RESOLUTION
        Honoring the American Association of University Women
                 Youngstown Branch on its Centennial.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the American        2
Association of University Women Youngstown Branch on its One Hundredth   3
Anniversary, celebrated April 29, 2024; and                              4
     WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting     5
tribute to the AAUW Youngstown Branch, for throughout the past           6
century, it has achieved a remarkable record of service to the area.     7
Since its inception, the chapter has been involved in many significant   8
endeavors to empower area women, and its accomplishments are a           9
justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on    10
the organization itself but also on its president, Jorine Stone, on      11
its dedicated members, and on the community; and                         12
     WHEREAS, Over the years, the AAUW Youngstown Branch has enhanced    13
the quality of life within the surrounding area, and through its         14
generous contributions, it has earned the respect and gratitude of the   15
many citizens it has so capably served. We are certain that as this      16
exemplary organization maintains its unfaltering dedication to           17
service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has been   18
the hallmark of the national AAUW since its establishment in 1881; and   19
     WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing      20
efforts of groups such as the AAUW Youngstown Branch that Ohio has       21
gained a reputation as a state that is responsive to the needs of its    22
citizens and has remained a pleasant place in which to live and work.    23
This fine branch is truly worthy of acknowledgement; therefore be it     24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of    25

the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           26
commend the American Association of University Women Youngstown Branch     27
on its One Hundredth Anniversary and offer best wishes for the future;     28
and be it further                                                          29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the American               31
Association of University Women Youngstown Branch.                         32
