                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Ted Karras as the 2023 Nationwide Charity
              Challenge winner.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly     1
of Ohio are pleased to applaud Ted Karras on being named the 2023         2
Nationwide Charity Challenge winner and a nominee for the 2023 Walter     3
Payton NFL Man of the Year Award; and                                     4
     WHEREAS, The starting center for the Cincinnati Bengals, Ted         5
Karras can be proud of being recognized for his selfless support and      6
devotion to the Village of Merici. Indeed, he has distinguished           7
himself through his initiative to actively create a sense of belonging    8
in the community for adults with developmental disabilities, and his      9
selection as the 2023 Nationwide Charity Challenge winner, as well as     10
a Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee, by the National Football         11
League and the fans is a deserved tribute; and                            12
     WHEREAS, Time and again, Ted Karras has warranted the appreciation   13
of many, and the concern and resolve he has demonstrated in his           14
meaningful contributions merit the utmost commendation. Indeed, his       15
outstanding endeavors as a professional football player as well as a      16
citizen have greatly improved our society, and it is our hope that his    17
sterling example will serve as a reflection of the potential for          18
individuals to dedicate themselves similarly in positively impacting      19
the community; and                                                        20
     WHEREAS, It is through the unsurpassed efforts and unparalleled      21
commitment of individuals such as Ted Karras that our nation continues    22
to grow and prosper and our state remains responsive to the needs of      23
its citizens. He has earned a reputation as a generous and civic-         24
minded person, and he is worthy of the highest praise for his             25
concerted work in behalf of the entire community; therefore be it         26

As Introduced
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Ted Karras on       28
his recent accolade and salute him as a fine ambassador for the state      29
of Ohio; and be it further                                                 30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Ted Karras.                       32
