A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Delaware Area Career Center cybersecurity
team as the 2024 CyberPatriot Program State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Delaware Area Career Center 2
cybersecurity team on winning the 2024 CyberPatriot National Youth 3
Cyber Defense State Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, The members of the Delaware Area Career Center 5
cybersecurity team are a remarkable group of young academicians, 6
combining talent and competitive spirit with exceptional knowledge to 7
establish themselves as truly exemplary students. With commendable 8
dedication, they performed admirably against teams from across Ohio, 9
and as a result, they won first place at the CyberPatriot National 10
Youth Cyber Defense State Competition and advanced to the national 11
semifinal. Throughout long hours of practice and preparation, they 12
have displayed a degree of determination and motivation of which they 13
can be proud; and 14
WHEREAS, In preparing themselves for this important contest, 15
Delaware Area Career Center cybersecurity team members Nolan Gregson, 16
Maddox LaPrad, Wilson Lane, Andrew Langan, and Henry Reid have had the 17
opportunity to develop and showcase their individual abilities and to 18
acquire experience that will be of great benefit to them throughout 19
their lives. Having worked diligently to sharpen their skills, they 20
confronted their competition with confidence and enthusiasm and 21
distinguished themselves as worthy representatives of DACC; and 22
WHEREAS, The success of the Delaware Area Career Center 23
cybersecurity team is a fitting tribute to the exceptional talents of 24
these young people, and this championship title convincingly 25
demonstrates how very much can be achieved by a group of hard-working 26

students with clear objectives and firm resolve. The team’s 27
accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride not only for them 28
but also for their coaches, their families, their school, and their 29
community; therefore be it 30
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 31
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Delaware 32
Area Career Center cybersecurity team for outstanding achievement and 33
salute the members and advisors as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and 34
be it further 35
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 36
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Delaware Area Career 37
Center cybersecurity team. 38
