A RESOLUTION
Honoring Brogan Tucker on his performance at the 2023-2024
Division II State Wrestling Tournament.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Brogan Tucker as a 2024 Division 2
II State Champion in wrestling; and 3
WHEREAS, A senior at Graham High School, Brogan Tucker has 4
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good 5
sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional athlete. A 6
strong competitor, he has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate 7
proficiency in the 144-pound weight class, and as a result, he 8
defeated a tough Highland competitor by a score of 8-3 to place first 9
at this year’s Division II State Tournament; and 10
WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Brogan 11
Tucker has consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and 12
motivation that are the hallmarks of a true champion. His unwavering 13
commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of 14
many, and he is certainly deserving of high praise; and 15
WHEREAS, Brogan Tucker’s accomplishments and leadership, both in 16
and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an 17
outstanding reflection not only on him but also on his family, his 18
teammates, his coaches, his school, and his community. Indeed, the 19
same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation 20
in wrestling will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the 21
future; therefore be it 22
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 23
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Brogan Tucker 24
on his personal success and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest young 25

citizens; and be it further 26
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 27
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Brogan Tucker. 28
