A RESOLUTION
Honoring the American Motorcyclist Association on its One
Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the American Motorcyclist 2
Association on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth 3
Anniversary; and 4
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is, indeed, a 5
fitting tribute to the American Motorcyclist Association, for 6
throughout the last century, it has attained a praiseworthy record of 7
achievement. Founded in 1924, AMA has grown to become the world’s 8
largest group of motorcycle enthusiasts, and its accomplishments are a 9
justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on 10
the organization itself but also on its dedicated leaders and loyal 11
members, both past and present; and 12
WHEREAS, Since its establishment, the American Motorcyclist 13
Association has engaged in an array of worthwhile activities and 14
projects that have promoted and protected the motorcycling lifestyle, 15
including sponsoring nearly three thousand motor sports competition 16
events annually, organizing the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, and 17
preserving objects and information of historical significance for the 18
enjoyment of future generations. In addition, the association has 19
advocated for the rights and interests of all motorcyclists, and its 20
impressive contributions readily explain why it is so widely held in 21
high esteem; and 22
WHEREAS, As the members of the American Motorcyclist Association 23
celebrate this anniversary, they can reflect with pride on the 24
accomplishments of the past and formulate new policies to meet the 25
challenges of the future. Indeed, they have convincingly demonstrated 26

how very much can be achieved by a group of conscientious people with 27
clear objectives and firm resolve, and we applaud their tremendous 28
efforts; therefore be it 29
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 30
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the American 31
Motorcyclist Association on its Centennial and extend best wishes for 32
ongoing success; and be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 34
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the American Motorcyclist 35
Association. 36
