A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Ohio Grocers Association on its One Hundred
Twenty-fifth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Ohio Grocers Association on 2
the auspicious occasion of its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary, 3
celebrated April 20, 2024; and 4
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting 5
tribute to the Ohio Grocers Association, for since its inception in 6
1899, it has achieved a remarkable record of service to the state. 7
Representing more than five hundred grocers, wholesalers, brokers, and 8
associates, this non-profit trade association has always been 9
dedicated to the welfare of and advocacy for the grocery industry, and 10
its accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an 11
outstanding reflection not only on the organization itself but also on 12
its diligent members, who are conscientious and hard-working Ohioans; 13
and 14
WHEREAS, Over the past one hundred twenty-five years, the Ohio 15
Grocers Association has enhanced the quality of life within the State 16
of Ohio, and through its generous contributions, it has gained the 17
esteem and gratitude of the many individuals it has so capably served. 18
We are certain that as this worthy endeavor maintains its commitment 19
to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has 20
long been its hallmark; and 21
WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing 22
efforts of organizations such as the Ohio Grocers Association that 23
Ohio has earned a reputation as a state that is responsive to the 24

needs of its citizens and has remained a pleasant place in which to 25
live and work. The group is truly deserving of high praise; therefore 26
be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Ohio 29
Grocers Association on its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary and 30
extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further 31
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ohio Grocers Association. 33
