                       A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Columbus Africentric Early College girls basketball team
               as the 2024 Division III State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Columbus        2
Africentric Early College girls basketball team on winning the 2024      3
Division III State Championship; and                                     4
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the   5
Columbus Africentric Early College girls basketball team have combined   6
talent and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to       7
establish themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable    8
dedication, the Nubians have worked diligently toward attaining          9
ultimate proficiency in basketball, and as a result, they won their      10
second consecutive Division III State Championship; and                  11
     WHEREAS, The Nubians’ achievements and leadership are a             12
justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the           13
players, their families, their school, their community, and their        14
coach, Janicia Anderson. In leading her team to victory, Coach           15
Anderson has not only helped the athletes to develop their talents to    16
the fullest but also instilled in each a valuable sense of               17
determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and                        18
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   19
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay      20
tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coach for a    21
job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have         22
gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in    23
meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it                    24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of    25

As Offered
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           26
commend the Columbus Africentric Early College girls basketball team       27
on its tremendous season and salute the members and coach as some of       28
Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further                                  29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Columbus Africentric       31
Early College girls basketball team.                                       32
