                       A RESOLUTION
      Honoring The Ohio State University women’s basketball team
                     as the 2024 Big Ten Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to    2
The Ohio State University women’s basketball team on securing the 2024   3
Big Ten Championship; and                                                4
     WHEREAS, The Ohio State University women’s basketball team has      5
achieved a tremendous feat in winning this year’s Big Ten                6
Championship, and it certainly was an exemplary season. The Buckeyes’    7
strong performance against the Wolverines, combined with an adept        8
drive to succeed, has led the squad to this outstanding 67-51 victory,   9
and the group has earned the appreciation and admiration of many; and    10
     WHEREAS, The accomplishments and development of The Ohio State      11
University women’s basketball team are fine examples of what can be      12
attained by a group of hard-working young people supported by a          13
dedicated coaching staff such as the one led by Kevin McGuff.            14
Throughout extensive conditioning and training, the members have         15
developed into dynamic competitors, and they are deserving of            16
acknowledgement; and                                                     17
     WHEREAS, With great admiration, we congratulate the athletes who    18
comprise The Ohio State University women’s basketball team, for they     19
have overcome many formidable opponents and displayed tremendous         20
prowess. Indeed, we are confident that as they meet their future         21
challenges, they will take with them the lessons of comradery,           22
diligence, and discipline; therefore be it                               23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of   24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,         25

heartily applaud The Ohio State University women’s basketball team as      26
the 2024 Big Ten Champion and praise the strength of this program and      27
its participating athletes; and be it further                              28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     29
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State             30
University women’s basketball team.                                        31
