                       A RESOLUTION
                         Honoring Colin White
             on being named the 2024 Ohio Mr. Basketball.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Colin White on       2
earning the 2024 Ohio Mr. Basketball Award from the Ohio Prep             3
Sportswriters Association; and                                            4
     WHEREAS, Colin White’s outstanding ability and spirited drive and    5
tenacity have distinguished him as a superior athlete. During the         6
2023-2024 season, he averaged 24.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists,     7
and 2.6 steals, and he helped the Titans advance to this year's           8
Division III State semifinal and finish the season with a 24-4 overall    9
record. Scoring 1,995 career points, he has gained the admiration and     10
respect of all those who have witnessed him in action, including his      11
coach, Tyson McGlaughlin; and                                             12
     WHEREAS, In displaying such exceptional prowess as a senior member   13
of the Ottawa-Glandorf High School boys basketball team, Colin White      14
has earned the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of       15
countless fans, and the respect of even his most determined rivals.       16
Competition in athletics has enabled him to learn much about              17
dedication and self-discipline, and we take this opportunity to           18
acknowledge his exceptional record of achievement; and                    19
     WHEREAS, Basketball requires exceptional stamina and natural         20
ability, and Colin White is to be commended for his commitment to this    21
demanding activity. In attaining his athletic goals, he has               22
consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are the hallmarks     23
of a true champion; therefore be it                                       24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     25

As Offered
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay       26
tribute to Colin White on his remarkable performance in state              27
competition and extend best wishes for continued success while playing     28
at The Ohio State University; and be it further                            29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Colin White.               31
