A RESOLUTION
Honoring Tate Hisey
on winning a 2024 Division II State Wrestling Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Tate Hisey as the 2024 2
Division II State Champion in boys wrestling in the 126-pound weight 3
class; and 4
WHEREAS, A diligent and capable individual, Tate Hisey is 5
deserving of recognition for his exemplary accomplishments as a junior 6
member of the St. Marys Memorial High School boys wrestling team. An 7
exceptional athlete, he won first place in the 126-pound weight class 8
at this year’s Division II State Tournament, and his noteworthy record 9
of personal achievement stands as a hallmark for others; and 10
WHEREAS, Through his participation in wrestling, Tate Hisey has 11
learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and 12
good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to him 13
throughout his life. Through his outstanding efforts, he has inspired 14
countless people to excel in various areas of endeavor, and he has set 15
an example worthy of emulation; and 16
WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of 17
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards 18
of individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable 19
educational tool. With sports contributing to the development of 20
countless youth, we are happy to congratulate such a fine wrestler as 21
Tate Hisey; therefore be it 22
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 23
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 24
applaud Tate Hisey on his Division II State Wrestling Championship and 25

extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further 26
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 27
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Tate Hisey. 28
