A RESOLUTION
Honoring ProMedica Toledo Hospital
on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to 2
ProMedica Toledo Hospital on the occasion of its One Hundred Fiftieth 3
Anniversary; and 4
WHEREAS, Dedicated to caring for the health and well-being of the 5
residents of the area, ProMedica Toledo Hospital has successfully 6
incorporated concern and compassion with technology and 7
professionalism to distinguish itself as an exemplary medical 8
facility. The oldest hospital in the ProMedica system, this fine 9
institution was established by the Women’s Christian Association in 10
1874, and in the fifteen decades since, it has remained staunchly 11
committed to ensuring that the health care needs of local citizens are 12
met in the most effective manner possible. Indeed, it has achieved a 13
tremendous record of service to the community; and 14
WHEREAS, ProMedica Toledo Hospital’s skillful and personalized 15
delivery of vital health care services has earned it the confidence 16
and respect of many, and the fine reputation it has gained is a credit 17
to the dedication of its administrators, staff members, and employees, 18
who have given willingly of their time, abilities, and enthusiasm for 19
the public welfare. Through their unwavering commitment to the highest 20
standards of health care, they have helped to ensure that the hospital 21
will continue its tradition of excellence long into the future; and 22
WHEREAS, On the auspicious occasion of its One Hundred Fiftieth 23
Anniversary, ProMedica Toledo Hospital has the unique opportunity to 24
reaffirm its goals and to formulate new policies to meet the 25
challenges of our complex and ever-changing world. The hospital has 26

served as a shining example of responsible medical practices, and it 27
has set the standard to which other healthcare providers in Ohio can 28
aspire; therefore be it 29
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 30
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay 31
tribute to ProMedica Toledo Hospital on its years of service and 32
extend best wishes for the future; and be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 34
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to ProMedica Toledo 35
Hospital. 36
