                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the Purcell Marian High School girls basketball
              team as the 2024 Division II State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to applaud the Purcell Marian High School girls      2
basketball team on securing the 2024 Division II State Championship;     3
and                                                                      4
     WHEREAS, The Purcell Marian High School girls basketball team is    5
made up of remarkable athletes who have worked diligently to showcase    6
the collective talents of their exceptional squad. At this year’s        7
Division II State Tournament, the Cavaliers won the state crown for a    8
third consecutive year, and the members amply demonstrated impressive    9
determination, maturity, and finesse in pursuit of this achievement;     10

     WHEREAS, Coach Jamar Mosley has demonstrated remarkable energy,     12
enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Purcell Marian High School     13
girls basketball team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the      14
squad’s outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to his tireless         15
efforts, the members have distinguished themselves on the court, and     16
he has received respect and admiration from all who know him; and        17
     WHEREAS, All those who comprise the Purcell Marian High School      18
girls basketball team have set an excellent example of what a            19
dedicated group of athletes can achieve when guided by a committed       20
coaching staff and surrounded by loyal fans, sports families, and        21
boosters. These young competitors have certainly proven themselves to    22
be dynamic athletic leaders, and we are confident that as they meet      23
future challenges, they will take with them the valuable lessons they    24
have gained through their participation in basketball; therefore be it   25

As Introduced
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General      26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the             27
Purcell Marian High School girls basketball team on its 2024 Division       28
II State Championship title and count its players and coaches among         29
the ranks of outstanding Ohioans; and be it further                         30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                 31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Purcell Marian High            32
School girls basketball team.                                               33
