                       A RESOLUTION
           Honoring The Ohio State University women’s hockey team as
              the 2024 NCAA Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate The Ohio State University women’s    2
hockey team on winning the 2024 National Collegiate Athletics            3
Association Championship; and                                            4
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of The   5
Ohio State University women’s hockey team have combined talent and       6
spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish        7
themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable              8
dedication, the Buckeyes have worked diligently toward attaining         9
ultimate proficiency in ice hockey, and as a result, they defeated a     10
tough Wisconsin team by the score of 1-0 to win this year’s NCAA         11
Championship, their second such title in three years, and finished the   12
season and set a school record for victories with an impressive 35-4-0   13
record; and                                                              14
     WHEREAS, The Buckeye’s achievements and leadership are a            15
justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the           16
players, their families, their school, their community, and their        17
coach, Nadine Muzerall. In leading her team to victory, Coach Muzerall   18
has not only helped the athletes to develop their talents to the         19
fullest but also instilled in them a valuable sense of determination,    20
perseverance, and camaraderie; and                                       21
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   22
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased     23
to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coach   24
for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have   25
gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in    26

meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it                         27
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General        28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend The Ohio State         29
University women’s hockey team on its tremendous season and salute the        30
members and coach as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further        31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                   32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State University            33
women’s hockey team.                                                          34
