A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Pickerington High School Central cheer team as
the 2024 OASSA Division 1 Game-Day Non-Building Small State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to 2
the Pickerington High School Central cheer team on winning the 3
Division 1 Game-Day Non-Building Small Championship at the 2024 Ohio 4
Association of Secondary School Administrators State Cheer 5
Championships; and 6
WHEREAS, The talented athletes of the Pickerington High School 7
Central cheer team are, indeed, to be commended for their remarkable 8
fitness and competitive drive, qualities that have figured prominently 9
in their impressive performance at this year’s OASSA State Cheer 10
Championships, where they placed first in the Division 1 game-day non- 11
building small category. To their credit, they could always be counted 12
on to execute even the most demanding routines with agility, 13
precision, exuberance, and grace; and 14
WHEREAS, Under the expert guidance of their coaches, the members 15
of the Pickerington High School Central cheer team have trained 16
tirelessly in order to ensure peak physical and mental conditioning, 17
and their exceptional prowess has earned them many admirers. 18
Participation in this sport has enabled them to learn much about 19
creative expression, discipline, and dedication, and clearly, the 20
experience they have acquired is certain to benefit them in the years 21
to come; and 22
WHEREAS, All those who comprise the Pickerington High School 23
Central cheer team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision 24
that befit true champions, and they have served as an inspiration to 25
their peers. Their accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride 26

As Offered
and an excellent reflection not only on them but also on their 27
families, their coaches, their school, and their community; therefore 28
be it 29
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 30
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 31
applaud the Pickerington High School Central cheer team for exemplary 32
achievement and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it 33
further 34
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 35
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Pickerington High 36
School Central cheer team. 37
