A RESOLUTION
Honoring Ethan Hively
as a 2024 Division II State Bowling Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Ethan Hively on 2
winning the 2024 Division II State Championship in boys bowling; and 3
WHEREAS, A senior at United High School, Ethan Hively has combined 4
talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good 5
sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young 6
athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward 7
attaining ultimate proficiency in bowling, and as a result, he rolled 8
a 726 series to secure the Division II State Championship title this 9
season, becoming the first bowler from Columbiana County to win an 10
individual state crown; and 11
WHEREAS, Ethan Hively’s accomplishments and leadership, both in 12
and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine 13
reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his 14
coach, his school, and his community. His unwavering commitment to 15
excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of many, and he is 16
certainly worthy of high praise; and 17
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 18
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased 19
to pay tribute to Ethan Hively on an exemplary season. Indeed, the 20
same maturity and experience he has gained through his participation 21
in bowling will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the 22
future; therefore be it 23
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 25

commend Ethan Hively on his state championship and extend best wishes 26
for continued success; and be it further 27
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 28
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Ethan Hively. 29
