A RESOLUTION
Honoring Adam Mattin on winning a 2024 Division III State
Wrestling Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to recognize Adam Mattin as the 2024 Division III 2
State Wrestling Champion in the 113-pound weight class; and 3
WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and 4
dedication during the 2023-24 season, Adam Mattin has certainly 5
distinguished himself as one of the most talented wrestlers in the 6
State of Ohio. At this year’s Division III State Tournament, he 7
defeated a tough opponent from Genoa Area High School to secure the 8
state championship in the 113-pound weight class; and 9
WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Adam Mattin 10
has consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation 11
that are the hallmarks of a true champion. To his credit, he could 12
always be counted on not only to shine individually but also to 13
contribute significantly to his teammates’ collective effort; and 14
WHEREAS, A student at Delta High School, Adam Mattin is truly 15
worthy of acknowledgement for the formidable athletic gifts and the 16
competitive spirit that he has so amply revealed throughout this past 17
season. He has inspired his teammates, thrilled his fans, gained the 18
respect of his opponents, and made his coaches and family very proud; 19
therefore be it 20
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 21
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Adam 22
Mattin on his impressive wrestling accomplishment and offer best 23
wishes for a bright, rewarding future; and be it further 24
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 25
