A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Fort Loramie High School girls basketball team
as the 2023-2024 Division IV State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Fort 2
Loramie High School girls basketball team on securing the 2023-2024 3
Division IV State Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, The talented Fort Loramie High School girls basketball 5
team is, indeed, to be heartily commended for decisively earning this 6
year’s Division IV State Championship in a 42-29 finish against 7
Waterford. The squad’s performance this season reflects the 8
outstanding collective effort by a gifted group of athletes, and 9
without exception, the team has devoted countless hours to training 10
and practice in order to ensure peak conditioning. Clearly, this 11
demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends; and 12
WHEREAS, The members of the Fort Loramie High School girls 13
basketball team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision that 14
befit true champions. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have 15
consistently maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting 16
strength, speed, stamina, and agility in every challenging encounter. 17
Time and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating 18
their unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and 19
finesse have earned them widespread respect, even among their most 20
formidable rivals; and 21
WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a 22
host of adversaries, the members of the Fort Loramie High School girls 23
basketball team have learned much about dedication, self-discipline, 24
leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place finish is a measure of 25
their stalwart commitment to the sport, and their indomitable spirit 26

has made their families, friends, and coach, Carla Siegel, incredibly 27
proud; therefore be it 28
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 29
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 30
applaud the Fort Loramie High School girls basketball team on its 31
brilliant 2023-2024 season and wish its members continued success in 32
all of their future endeavors; and be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 34
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Fort Loramie High 35
School girls basketball team. 36
