                       A RESOLUTION
       Honoring the Kenton Ridge High School girls bowling team
         on winning the 2024 Division II State Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Kenton Ridge        2
High School girls bowling team as the 2024 Division II State Champion;    3
and                                                                       4
     WHEREAS, The members of the Kenton Ridge High School girls bowling   5
team are exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be         6
truly exceptional competitors. The Cougars won the Division II State      7
Championship for girls bowling by defeating a tough Mechanicsburg team    8
by the score of 3-0, and the unwavering commitment of the bowlers and     9
coaches has earned them the esteem of many. They are certainly            10
deserving of high praise; and                                             11
     WHEREAS, Coach Kevin Duncan has demonstrated remarkable energy,      12
enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Kenton Ridge High School        13
girls bowling team to victory, and his skill is reflected in the          14
squad’s outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to his tireless          15
efforts, the members have distinguished themselves, and he has            16
received respect and admiration from all who know him; and                17
     WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future     18
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and     19
the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has      20
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the      21
Kenton Ridge High School girls bowling team have gained discipline and    22
perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives;           23
therefore be it                                                           24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     25

the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay       26
tribute to the Kenton Ridge High School girls bowling team as the 2024     27
Division II State Champion and honor all those who contributed to the      28
success of this fine squad; and be it further                              29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Kenton Ridge High      31
School girls bowling team.                                                 32
