A RESOLUTION
Honoring The University of Toledo men’s basketball team
as the 2024 Mid-American Conference Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to salute The University of 2
Toledo men’s basketball team on winning the 2024 Mid-American 3
Conference Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, The 5
University of Toledo men’s basketball team is an impressive group of 6
athletes whose talent and teamwork are unmatched. At this year’s Mid- 7
American Conference Championship, the squad seized the title from Kent 8
State with a score of 86-71, and this fourth consecutive MAC crown 9
will be celebrated for many years to come; and 10
WHEREAS, The members of The University of Toledo men’s basketball 11
team rose to the occasion and proved themselves to be a dynamic force 12
in collegiate sports. Truly, these outstanding athletes can be proud 13
of the accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved throughout the 14
2023-2024 season; and 15
WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards of 16
sportsmanship and teamwork, the players of The University of Toledo 17
men’s basketball team primed themselves under the guidance of Coach 18
Tod Kowalczyk to reach their full potential. Indeed, the Rockets have 19
demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of 20
their endeavors; therefore be it 21
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 22
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 23
recognize The University of Toledo men’s basketball team on its 24
success and honor the athletes and coaches for their tremendous 25

prowess; and be it further 26
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 27
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to The University of 28
Toledo men’s basketball team. 29
