                       A RESOLUTION
         Honoring the Marion L. Steele High School cheer team
              on winning a 2024 OASSA State Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Marion L.       2
Steele High School cheer team on securing first place in the Division    3
2 game day non-building event at the 2024 Ohio Association of            4
Secondary School Administrators State Cheer Championships; and           5
     WHEREAS, An extremely talented group of young athletes, the         6
members of the Marion L. Steele High School cheer team have certainly    7
distinguished themselves as one of the finest squads in Ohio. Under      8
the capable direction of their coach, Lauren Szabo, the members          9
performed admirably at this year’s OASSA State Cheer Championships,      10
earning first place in the Division 2 game day non-building event, and   11
they are certainly deserving of applause; and                            12
     WHEREAS, The members of the Marion L. Steele High School cheer      13
team have conscientiously applied themselves to the quest for            14
excellence, and time and again, they have risen to the occasion,         15
maintaining their morale, composure, and good sportsmanship. Clearly,    16
their enthusiastic involvement in competitive cheerleading has enabled   17
them to learn much about dedication, self-discipline, and leadership,    18
and in the process, their exceptional prowess has made their families    19
and friends very proud; and                                              20
     WHEREAS, The members of the Marion L. Steele High School cheer      21
team have consistently demonstrated the talent, confidence, and          22
motivation that are the hallmarks of true champions, and they have       23
gained the respect of even their most determined rivals. The maturity    24
and experience which the cheerleaders have gained through their          25
participation in sports will undoubtedly assist them in meeting the      26

challenges of the future; therefore be it                                  27
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     28
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           29
commend the Marion L. Steele High School cheer team for exemplary          30
achievement and salute the members as some of Ohio’s finest young          31
citizens; and be it further                                                32
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     33
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Marion L. Steele       34
High School cheer team.                                                    35
