                       A RESOLUTION
                        Honoring Hayden Hughes
            as a 2024 Division II State Wrestling Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Hayden Hughes on    2
winning the 2024 Division II State Wrestling Championship in the         3
138-pound weight class; and                                              4
     WHEREAS, A student at Graham High School, Hayden Hughes has         5
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good   6
sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional young          7
athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward      8
attaining ultimate proficiency in wrestling, and as a result, he won     9
the Division II State Championship title in the 138-pound weight class   10
by a score of 5-3; and                                                   11
     WHEREAS, Hayden Hughes’ accomplishments and leadership, both in     12
and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an         13
outstanding reflection not only on him but also on his family, his       14
teammates, his coaches, his school, and his community. His unwavering    15
commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of        16
many, and he is certainly worthy of high praise; and                     17
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   18
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay      19
tribute to Hayden Hughes on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same        20
maturity and experience he has gained through his participation in       21
wrestling will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the          22
future; therefore be it                                                  23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of   24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,         25

commend Hayden Hughes as a 2024 Division II State Wrestling Champion       26
and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further         27
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     28
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Hayden Hughes.             29
