                       A RESOLUTION
                    Honoring Isaiah Shannon as the
   2024 OHSAA Division I Individual State Champion in boys bowling.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Isaiah Shannon on        2
winning the 2024 Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I        3
Individual State Championship in boys bowling; and                       4
     WHEREAS, A diligent and capable athlete, Isaiah Shannon is          5
deserving of recognition for his exemplary accomplishments as a senior   6
member of the Fairmont High School boys bowling team. At the 2024        7
Division I State Tournament, he placed first in the individual           8
competition with a score of 743, and his noteworthy record of personal   9
achievement stands as a hallmark to which others may aspire; and         10
     WHEREAS, Through his participation in bowling, Isaiah Shannon has   11
learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and    12
good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to him      13
throughout his life. His outstanding efforts have inspired countless     14
individuals to excel in various areas of endeavor, and he has set an     15
example worthy of emulation; and                                         16
     WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of     17
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards   18
of individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable         19
educational tool. With sports playing such an important part in the      20
development of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay tribute to      21
such a fine bowler as Isaiah Shannon; therefore be it                    22
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of   23
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,         24
applaud Isaiah Shannon on earning the 2024 Division I Individual State   25

Championship crown and offer best wishes for continued success; and be     26
it further                                                                 27
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     28
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Isaiah Shannon.            29
