                       A RESOLUTION
                          Honoring Jaxon Joy
            as a 2024 Division I State Wrestling Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Jaxon Joy on         2
winning the 2024 Division I State Wrestling Championship in the 150-      3
pound weight class; and                                                   4
     WHEREAS, A senior at Wadsworth High School, Jaxon Joy has combined   5
talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good             6
sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional athlete.        7
With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently to attain ultimate    8
proficiency in wrestling, and as a result, he finished the season with    9
an impressive 51-3 overall record and won this year’s Division I State    10
Championship title in the 150-pound weight class; and                     11
     WHEREAS, Jaxon Joy’s accomplishments and leadership, both in and     12
out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an     13
excellent reflection not only on him but also on his family, his          14
teammates, his coaches, his school, and his community. His unwavering     15
commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of         16
many, and he is certainly deserving of high praise; and                   17
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role    18
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay       19
tribute to Jaxon Joy on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity    20
and experience he has gained through his participation in wrestling       21
will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the future;             22
therefore be it                                                           23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of    24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,          25

commend Jaxon Joy on his statewide athletic success and salute him as      26
one of Ohio’s finest young citizens; and be it further                     27
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     28
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jaxon Joy.                 29
