A RESOLUTION
Honoring Michael Frye as a 2024 Division III State
Wrestling Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Michael Frye on winning the 2024 2
Division III State Wrestling Championship in the 106-pound weight 3
class; and 4
WHEREAS, A student at Columbia High School, Michael Frye has 5
combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good 6
sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional athlete. 7
With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently to attain ultimate 8
proficiency in wrestling, and as a result, he won this year’s Division 9
III State Championship crown in the 106-pound weight class; and 10
WHEREAS, Michael Frye’s accomplishments and leadership, both in 11
and out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and 12
an excellent reflection not only on him but also on his family, his 13
teammates, his coach, his school, and his community. His unwavering 14
commitment to excellence has earned him the respect and esteem of 15
many, and he is certainly deserving of high praise; and 16
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 17
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay 18
tribute to Michael Frye on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same 19
maturity and experience he has gained through his participation in 20
wrestling will greatly aid him in meeting the challenges of the 21
future; therefore be it 22
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 23
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Michael Frye on 24
his personal success and salute him as one of Ohio’s finest young 25

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 27
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Michael Frye. 28
