A RESOLUTION
Honoring Jones Middle School
on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to 2
Jones Middle School on the celebration of its One Hundredth 3
Anniversary, March 17, 2024; and 4
WHEREAS, This is an important occasion, and congratulations are 5
certainly in order as Jones Middle School reaches this milestone. 6
Built as the first permanent school in the Upper Arlington City School 7
District in 1924, JMS has earned the esteem of many who have passed 8
through its doors over the past century; and 9
WHEREAS, Jones Middle School has gained a stalwart reputation for 10
fostering a consistent, collaborative learning culture that empowers 11
each student for success. Schools are avenues that inspire a stronger 12
society, and this institution has grown thanks to the support and 13
integrity that have been introduced in the classroom, including 14
respect, cooperation, and resolve; and 15
WHEREAS, We look with optimism to a future that thrives as a 16
result of this educational resource, for it has encouraged a diverse 17
academic journey and meaningful quest for knowledge. Indeed, Jones 18
Middle School has established itself as a treasure to the area by 19
upholding important values and exemplifying a community that is 20
inclusive, compelled, and ready for the years to come; therefore be it 21
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 22
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 23
applaud Jones Middle School on its One Hundredth Anniversary and offer 24
best wishes for ongoing achievement; and be it further 25

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 26
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jones Middle School. 27
