A RESOLUTION
Authorizing the Ohio Youth Leadership Association to use 1
the Ohio House Chambers to conduct its 2024 model 2
legislature. 3
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF
OHIO:
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 4
General Assembly of Ohio have learned that the Ohio Youth Leadership 5
Association has requested permission to use the Ohio House Chambers 6
for its model legislature event, April 11-13, 2024; and 7
WHEREAS, A beneficial educational organization, the Ohio Youth 8
Leadership Association provides students with the opportunity to 9
better appreciate and understand government and its components, and 10
the knowledge gained through this event will certainly be of value to 11
all participants throughout their lifetimes; and 12
WHEREAS, By utilizing the facilities that accommodate those 13
involved in the state legislative process, the Ohio Youth Leadership 14
Association will offer students an accurate depiction of state 15
government and the manner in which legislation is created and 16
processed; and 17
WHEREAS, Through participation in the Ohio Youth Leadership 18
Association, students will be better prepared to become productive 19
members of our complex and ever-changing society. The maturity and 20
experience the participants will gain through their involvement in 21
this program will not only enrich their total educational experience 22
but also enable them to make better-informed decisions as they assume 23

the responsibilities of adult citizenship; therefore be it 24
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 25
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 26
permit the Ohio Youth Leadership Association to use the Ohio House 27
Chambers for its 2024 Ohio Youth in Government event, April 11-13, 28
2024, contingent upon the availability of those facilities, and salute 29
its participants as conscientious young citizens; and be it further 30
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ohio Youth 32
Leadership Association. 33
